TINKERTOY obsession

Someone gave Andrew a Tinkertoy set for Christmas.
I know this sounds horrible of me... but I put it away in the closet. I really didn't think he was old enough to play with it.... but mostly, I could envision 66 pieces dumped on my living room floor.

I had to get something out of the closet the other day & he spotted it. I was a little hesitant but I got it down and let him play with it. I am so HAPPY that I did because he absolutely LOVES it! He has a HUGE imagination... he has made airplanes, cars, a microphone, microphone stand and guns. I even seen him laying in the floor lifting the weights he had made.

He is obsessed... He was suppose to be getting ready for school but instead he was creating.
He AMAZES me with the things he builds! He literally plays with his tinkertoys the whole time he is @ home.
There is a picture of a tractor on the bucket and he has asked me several times to make it for him... I tried but was not successful. Tonight he asked his daddy {the perfectionist} and it turned out exactly like the picture... down to the last detail.

Look how EXCITED he is to finally have his tractor!!

Maybe this weekend I will get down the play dough that has been hidden away ;)

Movie with my Besties

I work with the most amazing group of girls.  They make my work day very entertaining!
In my previous jobs, I worked predominantly with men {not many women in the IT field} I even caught myself say “I could never work with women – too much drama” I was absolutely wrong…  I don’t know what I would do without my co-workers friends!
We had a Girls Night Out... we had a delicious dinner & a "few" drinks Here
then we went and watched Brides Maids... I laughed so hard that my checks were hurting!
I think everyone needs to grab their girlfriends and see this movie... leave the men at home cause it's totally a chick flick!

There are stresses in life, there are challenges, and there are girlfriends who create an escape hatch of laughter...

Tyler & Marissa's Wedding

We were able to share in the beautiful celebration of Marissa & Tyler. Marissa is Jeremy’s beautiful cousin. She works at Dillard Inc as a fashion coordinator in men’s wear. She's fun, fashionable and Adrianna’s role model!

Their wedding was @ Marlsgate Plantation in Scott, Arkansas and the weather was Amazing even though it would have been just perfect if it would have rained since rain is kind of their thing. The day they met it rained as well as the day Tyler proposed. This was no ordinary wedding ceremony/reception, it was beautiful. Unreal, a perfect day for their perfect love.

The Cake

The Groom's Cake

Benfield Photography did all of their engagement and wedding pictures. They have already uploaded both engagement sessions on their blog... I can't wait for the wedding pictures! {My camera doesn't do justice}Plus I didn't get any pictures of the ceremony with my camera.

The wedding ceremony & reception decor was the most beautiful decorations I have ever seen. You can find her wedding planner here. Adrianna & I agreed we felt like we were at a celebrity wedding! The dinner was delicious, {Tyler killed all the duck for the gumbo} the live band was awesome and Photo Booth was there. This is the coolest, most up-to-date, fun {and memorable!} activity you can plan for your next party or event!

Definitely the unique way to capture it all!
and, wow, the hit of the party!

The photo booth was a really fun activity for all the kids {and maybe even more fun for the adults}. They brought an awesome selection of props, everyone went crazy with these!

one extra goody was the memory book provided when guest arrived they signed the book then took pictures in the photo booth. The guest got a copy and another copy was placed in the memory book for Marissa & Tyler.

Cinco de Mayo

Since I've been sick in bed the last couple of days,

I decided I needed an excuse to get up and do something productive... Hmmm...

Cinco de Mayo!

                                                                   Per-fect-o!

Since we have no ties to Mexico {Other than lots of our neighbors are from Mexico} we decided to Americanize our celebration... Wells-style!

Here's the spread...

Tacos ... with all the "Fixin's"!

Jeremy's Homemade salsa & chips

Everyone in our house LOVES tacos Even the littlest critic!

We ended the night with some UNO!

Jeremy even got in on the action...

FYI... UNO games can last FOREVER!
