Monster Jam

Andrew Hayden is obsessed with trucks… the BIGGER and LOUDER the better! He plays with them for hours. His favorite place to play is on my beautiful coffee table. He LOVES watching the monster trucks on TV so when Jeremy found out they were coming to Little Rock he had to have tickets.
We told Andrew that he was going to see the monster trucks live... he couldn't stop smiling. It seemed like the longest trip to Little Rock and when we finally got there, I don’t know who was more excited Andrew or his daddy!

They had snow cones & were ready for the show!

My babies & I

Adrianna actually enjoyed the monster trucks! I was worried that she would be bored but she was yelling and clapping too. I shouldn’t be surprised. She is such a daddy girl… anything he likes she will too!

This is classic – I couldn’t resist a picture!

Date Night

Jeremy & I went on a date!! {Something that rarely happens anymore} It almost didn't happen but we managed to squeeze it in after hair appointments, a birthday party & basketball game... thank you Grandpa & Grandma George for babysitting for us!

We went to Robert & Alison's house and had a GREAT time!
 {After I finally stopped worrying about the kids}
 We had lots of food, fun and PICTIONARY! This was my first time playing... how did I miss out on this for so long? I have to admit, I am terrible at drawing but I LOVE it! I will definitely buy this game before Adrianna's next sleepover. ;)

It was nice hanging out with other grown-ups. This date was long overdue... I can't wait to go on another one really soon!

I couldn't arrive at Robert & Alison's house empty handed so I made my famous Pinwheels. These babies are very addictive! I posted the recipe below... These would be great at a Super Bowl party!

What you need:
1 8oz box cream cheese {softened}
6 slices of ham {chopped}
3-4 green onions {thinly sliced}
tortilla shells

In a bowl mix together cream cheese, ham & onions.
Spread about 2 tablespoons of mixture onto a tortilla shell.
 Roll up the tortilla shell. Repeat...
Once you have finished, place the tortilla shells in the fridge for atleast an hour.
Then slice & serve

No much is happening in the Wells household this month…

We’re all trying to recover from the holidays… We have finally taken down all the Christmas decorations, packed them back in the attic & got rid of all the Christmas candy. Too bad, it can’t stay Christmas time forever… I have enjoyed staying home with my family, wearing PJ’s all day long, baking cookies, making crafts, and just being together. It was really hard for all of us to go back to school/work.

It’s January 15th and I am finally working on my list of new-year’s-resolutions.
I am hoping if I list them on my blog that I may actually follow through with them :)

I have BIG plans for twenty eleven…

• I want to be in the best shape of my life, at the end of 2011. {I would really like to be by July 5th as that is my 30th birthday!} I really wanna rock the whole 30-thing.

• Simplify, meaning less is more. {I started watching Peter Walsh on OWN and he has really inspired me} I have already started purging my house. I am going through every closet, drawer, and cabinet & if I don’t need it then it’s going out.

• I want to help Adrianna find her passion… {Especially since she is going into Jr High next year} I gave her the opportunity in grade school to play whatever sport she wanted…. Now, it’s time to find out what she really LOVES & start focusing and improving on it.

• I want Andrew to be FULLY potty train, at the end of 2011. He goes to the potty at Daycare and even wears big boy underwear for them but at home he refuses! {The biggest problem - he is the baby of the house & knows he can get away anything.}

• No More Sugar. probably the hardest for me because I would prefer eating candy over anything else & I usually have about 2 sodas a day... I am addicted! This is one thing I must follow through with because diabetes runs in my family. By 2011, I hope to be completely off sodas and only eat sugar on special occasions.

This week I am going to have Adrianna write down her goals with me so we can talk about how important it is to set goals for yourself and to obtain those goals. Sometimes it's not always easy but you have to set your mind to it and push yourself.

Cheers to 2011!
