Cheers to 2015

There are so many things in life we simply can't control. So my hope for this New Year is to focus on the things that I can. To be more accepting and to be less judgmental. To take more chances and to worry less about failures. To embrace the differences in others, instead of being afraid of them. To focus on the ones I hold dear and sometimes even the ones I don't hold quite as close. To remember that the small things are often the most important things, in the grand scheme of things. To give more, to love more, to be more. So here's to 2015 my friends... Let's do this!

Merry Christmas

We hope you had a very special Christmas celebrating with the ones you love the most! Ours was just as I had hoped - filled with both favorite family traditions as well as new ones!
It's one of those times you wish you could somehow hold on to. Make time stand still a little longer. I love watching Christmas through my children's eyes. It's even better than when I was a child. Nothing else beats it! With the exception of Christmas morning: the giggles, flying wrapping paper, and the accompanied jumping up and down. That's kind of amazing too!

Hope your Christmas was Merry & Bright.

    LOVE this time of year!
    Enjoying our Christmas tree, decorating,
baking cookies & watching Christmas movies.

So proud of my beautiful daughter.

Christmas Band Concert

Went downtown Hot Springs to look
at Christmas lights and see Santa

I hosted a Christmas party at our house. We ate yummy food, played games, Grandma Pam read the Christmas Story from the Bible, we sang Christmas songs, and then we all went to Candle Light Service.

Andrew told Buddy good-bye until next year.
We all hate to see him go back to the North Pole.

Holly Jolly Christmas Birthday

My baby is Seven!
While I don't like him growing up - I do love the little man he is becoming. He is kind, creative, intelligent, and thoughtful. He’s constantly coloring us pictures or saying kind words to show his love for each of us. He has stole all our hearts especially his sisters. He is a pretty "Swaggah" kid!

It's a little hard having a birthday in December.
Christmas festivities are in full swing and life is Busy with a capital B. Andrew is blessed with these two best friends... They always make time for him!

Jingles the elf made an appearance at the party as well.
Adrianna is the best big sister ever!

They decorated ninja gingerbread cookies

Happy Birthday Jeremy!

Jeremy is a simple guy who doesn't like a lot of attention especially on his birthday. Big parties are not his thing.
So to celebrate his 35th birthday, the kids & I filled the house with 35 balloons. Each had a note with our favorite memory or a reason we love him!

He read the notes aloud and guessed who wrote them. Andrew wrote I love hunting with you at least
three times. Also, he wrote I love playing football together, I love watching movies together and you are my best friend!

Adrianna wrote lots of notes but here are my two favorites. I love you when you're in a good mood and I love when you make coffee because it isn't full of grounds like moms.
I love that honesty!

Jeremy is an amazing dad and husband. We are blessed beyond measure to have him. He is our Rock!
We love and adore him and look forward to many more birthdays together.

Do you attend a trunk-or-treat where you live?? Have you ever heard of it?? I've always took my kids tradition
trick-or treating until this year. Our church hosted a carnival trunk-or-treat. Adrianna and Andrew loved helping me decorate our trunk just as much as the candy.
our car game was pumpkin bowling, it was a huge
hit but lots of work! We will definitely choose a different game next year and add more decorations. I didn't see many ideas on-line... if you did something cool, please share!

BoBrook Pumpkin Patch

We are thoroughly enjoying autumn in Arkansas.
The kids, mom and I took a mini road trip this weekend to observe the beautiful shades of leaves. There is always something exciting, vibrant, and fresh in the air when the seasons change.
We stopped by BoBrook Farms.
It's a great place to spend a fall day.
we enjoyed everything it had to offer and
 simply enjoyed our time together.

The perfect pumpkin

These two had a blast in the corn pit.
I love watching them play together, Adrianna is an awesome big sister!
I am thankful they get along so well despite their age difference.

go bake a pie. go sniff some cinnamon. relish the changing of seasons, even if you live somewhere where the leaves do not turn red, orange, and yellow. cheers to a beautiful time of year!

It's been busy the past few months and full of chaos... but it's beautiful chaos. I wouldn't have it any other way!
I've learned life is too short... Live in the moment and enjoy every second.
