Fun Friday

Today is officially my last day as a SOC I will be moving into my new role next week at Hewlett Packard. I am ready for a new challenge {I think I have mastered bundles & demos} but I am going to miss my team. It’s really a bittersweet kind of feeling.

I had my final meeting with my managers to wrap up all the loose ends or so I thought that was the purpose of the meeting. When I returned to my desk I found this...

George Family Reunion

Saturday was our George Family reunion in Pine Bluff.
I wasn’t sure if we would be able to make it because Andrew has been sick. Lucky, my little man was feeling better. The kids played on the water slide, went fishing and drove lots of toys! Adrianna spent most of the time playing in the water with her cousins. She had a blast!

Andrew was watching his cousin drive the gator. He would have loved to drive it himself. ;)

Gotta charge it back up LOL

For those of you who don’t know… George’s learn to drive before they walk!

And we still LOVE it when we're older. LOL

Andrew found this and didn't want to leave... I guess we
are going to have to buy him one.

Here are a few pic... I didn't get everyone.

We had a GREAT time! Can't wait to do this again next year.

Colorado

Since we were only a few hours away, we decided to drive to Colorado Springs. We had to pack as much as we could into one day. First, we drove to Manitou Springs. We had reservations to ride the cog railroad to the top of Pikes Peak however we were only able to go 12,000 feet due to the snow. I was disappointed. I was looking forward to the view from the top & a big cup of hot chocolate.

The ride was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. We sit next to a fun retired couple, who were traveling the world in a RV and they told us lots of stories. The view was amazing but the pictures I took from inside the train didn’t turn out very good.

Here is a view of the mountains
{Pikes Peak is the one covered in snow}

After eating a buffalo burger, we went to Garden of Gods. If you are ever in Colorado Springs, you must visit this place! We didn’t have time to hike any of the trails but we drove around and looked at all the beautiful rock formations. There were people climbing the rocks, riding segways and horses. We want to come back again when we can stay longer!

3]. Post that photo along with the story behind it.
4]. Then challenge 8 blogging friends to do the same

Adrianna took this pic of me & Jeremy at Santa Rosa Lake. We stopped here on our way to Santa Fe, New Mexico.
The lake was crystal clear & was surrounded by rocks... such a beautiful place! I wish I were there now.

Adrianna, Tag! You're it!

Santa Fe

Santa Fe, New Mexico is a gorgeous city! I love adobe-style architecture and Spanish décor. Our hotel was walking distance of Art Galleries, The Plaza, boutiques,
shops and restaurants.
Jeremy had to be in class everyday so Adrianna & I were able to spend quality time together. We slept in late & shopped most of the time. We loved walking down to the plaza to look at all the hand crafted jewelry, pottery, and fabrics. Adrianna was amazed that everything was homemade! She kept saying “They’re so talented!” She bought a silver bracelet from a Navajo Indian and she treasures it! The guy thought she was cute… he gave it to her cheap!
We stayed here Inn and Spa at Loretto Santa Fe

Our view from the balcony
The 60 degree weather and wind didn’t stop here from playing in the pool! She was here every day and even talked me into getting in one time with her LOL
 Chillin

The heated pool felt good but when you got out, it was freezing… She would dry off really fast and run inside and stand in front of the fire! ;)
While she warmed up... I drank this!

This 400 year old Cathedral is located downtown

When Jeremy got out of class, he was our tour guide. We visited a lot of places, seen some amazing scenery & learned some history.

Happy Mother's Day

I am loving Mothers Day...

I spent most of the day, driving from Amarillo Texas to Santa Fe New Mexico. It was a beautiful drive. Texas is very flat & windy. There are lots of cattle farms & not many trees. Sometimes, it seemed like the road went for an eternity. The scenery is much different in New Mexico. There are more hills and trees. We took a detour & visited Lake Santa Rosa. It was my favorite part… the lake is so pretty! Oh, I have to mention, Adrianna & I seen a pronghorn for the first time. I have never heard of a pronghorn before in my life! ;)

I got my Mother’s Day presents early. Andrew made darling paper flowers for me at daycare using his hand print as the stems & Adrianna gave me a cookbook. Her class worked hard to gather recipes and put them together. I {HEART} mine! I don’t like to cook but I collect cookbooks. This one is special it has Adrianna’s handprints on the front cover! I am so lucky to have such darling little kiddos!! They truly are what make me smile!

Jeremy & Adrianna took me to Tortilla Flats for dinner. It was delicious!

I feel very fortunate to have such wonderful examples of mothers in my life!

The lord blessed me with a sweet, kind and very PATIENT mother who is such a great example of love and patience to me. I am so grateful to have her as my mother.

I have a wonderful step-mother who is a GREAT role model. She is compassionate, brilliant, and a hard worker. She loves me as her own daughter and I am thankful for her.

I have the BEST sister you could ever ask for!

I also have the best mother in law, who truly ADORES her children and will back us up if you dare mess with her kids. I think I have a little bit of her "mamma bear" attitude and I LOVE that about her.

I have such wonderful friends who have given me great wisdom and are HUGE examples of loving mothers!

Thank you and have a wonderful "Mothers Day"

SO MUCH GOING ON….

I haven’t posted in a while. My life has been CRAZY. I’ve had to make some BIG decisions regarding my career at HP & my religion. I’ve had to say good-bye to new Friends & on top of that we’re getting ready to go on vacation to New Mexico. I would be much happier about my vacation if Andrew was joining us but he is staying with his Grandpa & Meme Wells. I’ll be away from my baby boy for a full week {13 hours away} and I’ll probably cry every night ;(
Andrew on the other hand will be in paradise! He loves going to the farm & playing outside and riding the tractor. Although, I’ve already laid the law NO Driving/Riding Heavy Equipment while we are away!

Our new friend Elder Nickel has been called to leave Russellville ward. He stopped by our house to say Good-Bye. He and Elder Lundskog are such inspirations to me. They put their lives on hold 2 years {education & families} to spread the gospel. They are so young yet so spiritual. They love our heavenly father and set great examples. They motivate me to be a better person!
Elder Nickel & Elder Lundskog

Jeremy & I wanted to give them something to remember our family. I wanted something fun since I am terrible with good-byes. You all know how much us Arkansans love our Hogs… I gave them Razorback Snouts. They laughed so hard! I am sure they are going to have lots of stories to tell their families about us when they get back to Utah! LOL
