Adrianna celebrated her thirteenth birthday BIG...
my girl is a teenager, we had reason to celebrate!

It was a challenge planning this party because i wanted it to be PERFECT. {a more grown-up party!} Her favorite color is purple & mine is yellow so that's how she decided on the color-theme. Once we had the color-theme it all started coming together. i love that she got involved and added some Adrianna-style! She made most of the party decorations.

i  love ruffles so much, you have no idea! so i HAD to have a ruffle cake for the party! Luckily, I have a very talented friend who makes the BEST cakes. She made Adrianna's cake last year  Here 

Paper chains - the newest party trend & so easy to make. Adrianna made ALL these.

This picture doesn't do justice... she mod podged yellow scrap paper on the clothes pins & used chalkboard paint on the circles. We filled them with glow-n-dark bracelets, neon socks & candy

We made our own photo booth & it was a hit!

{I needed an excuse to buy chevron yellow material}

Adrianna has always had the best of friends in our neighborhood and at school. no drama – ever. just genuine, respectful, kind, loyal, good, kids.  I am thankful for her group of friends!

after dinner... we went glow in the dark bowling,

disco ball and all.  It was prom night so we had the entire place to ourselves!

My little man, enjoyed bowling for the 1st time.

He LOVES hanging out with Adrianna's friends!

i have a teenager! and, i will admit, strangely, i don’t feel old at all. i feel very very proud.

THIRTEEN YEARS. Seriously, where did the time go? I can't figure out how this happened so quickly. Wowza

One of my HAPPIEST memories is the day we brought her home from the hospital! Jeremy & I were both so excited & nervous. Neither had a clue what we were suppose to do with our new bundle of joy. Thank God for our mothers… we didn’t even know how to change a diaper. Oh, Good Times! We are the PROUDEST parents and couldn't be more in love with our beautiful baby girl - Our first miracle

Kool Eggz

We used kool-aid to dye our Easter eggs - we can't have the same boring eggs, i HAVE to change it up from year to year. This just gave it a new fruity twist.

 Add one package to 2/3 cup of water

 

we added rubber bands for KOOL stripes.
