I am so proud of these girls! They were so determined to take home 1st place that they sacrificed their summer break {two weeks before jamboree they practiced every week night}. They never complained about the heat, bugs or being too tired. They stayed focus & kept smiling! It was evident they were prepared… their performance was flawless!
We usually have to wait about 15 minutes before they announced the winner but this year it took longer. The judges needed the cheer coaches and then the district cheer commissioner to come up to the announcer box for questioning. (Yeah it’s that serious) Since it would be a while they decided to start a new football game. We ended up having to wait until half time before they told the winner {it felt like an eternity to me} … Immediately after they announced the winner it started thundering, lighting and raining so everyone left in a hurry so I didn't get any pictures until today.
Now that jamboree is over the girls are focusing on football season! They’re learning a new dance so they can perform with the high school cheerleaders in September. Whoever said Cheerleading is not a sport must never had a cheerleader.
