Our Fourth...

We started off our fourth of July celebrating Zoey's
1st Birthday. She is a little doll & had the most adorable Minnie Mouse party.

Andrew & Adrianna played with the neighbor kids. They shot  fireworks and rode razors. Then we went to the Arkansas River and watched fireworks from our boat.

 We had a picnic in the boat and for dessert
we had watermelon on the stick!

4th of July reminds me of my youth, some of my greatest childhood memories were made on the fourth of July! I can only hope my children are making wonderful memories of their own!

my birthday weekend...

It was perfect, I love that I can combine my birthday and Independence day! Jeremy grilled ribs {my favorite} and took us out on the boat to watch fireworks.
  Then we came home and did our own. I love fireworks, maybe more than my kids! I spent the rest of the weekend surrounded by amazing family.

Getting older has never really bothered me, yet. I just hate how fast time is passing. I feel like months go by like weeks, weeks pass like minutes and it’s just not fair. I absolutely love the stage of life we are in. Life is remarkably beautiful.

thank you for all the birthday wishes via facebook, texts, emails, phone calls, mail, and more! i’m so grateful to have such caring, sweet people in my life. you all made a great day, even better. ♥

XOXO

burn ban...

Slightly bummed – this is the first year ever with
 no fireworks on the 4th! I checked the forcast and it looks like the high is 103 the rest of the week.

I think we all need to go outside & do a rain dance

As you know from HERE I love fireworks just as much as my kids do. I could go broke making trips to the fireworks stand and this year... I haven't been once!

Praying GOD sends us rain soon -  I know the local farmers  as well as everyone else could really use some.

We are still having our 4th of July Party this weekend!
I am trying to decide what to bring - maybe one of these  yummy treats!

 oh my stars

 snowcone paper filled with berries

frozen grapes

super duper delicious trifle.
 {white chocolate pudding. yummmm}

banana boats - my kids love putting together their own
mix and throwing them on the grill.

Hope you all have a Safe & Happy 4th!

Happy 4th

red, white, and blue.

we had the most beautiful three days to celebrate july 4th.

because we are in Arkansas, and the holiday landed on a Monday this year,

the festivities were spread across three days...

happy 2nd

happy 3rd

and

happy 4th!

I have so many pictures to share...

LOVE our patriotic colors

shining everywhere.

God Bless America.

Fireworks!

It’s true. I love fireworks just as much as kids do. Fireworks are one more great way to celebrate how much I love the US of A. I could go broke making trips to the fireworks stand. Especially when I watch my daughter spending hours in the driveway chasing parachutes, lighting smoke bombs, and throwing pop-its. It reminds me of my youth, some of my greatest childhood memories were made on the fourth of July!

On Sunday evening, we did our family fireworks in front of our home with neighbors. I'm trying to master my night time sparker-photos. Andrew was even getting in on the action!

our fourth of july weekend

included...

friends. good food. swimming. boat riding, tubing.

 watermelon. play ground fun. soda. laughing.

We met up with some of Jeremy's friends at Lake Dardanelle. Jeremy, Michael, Matt and Reid have been friends since grade school. They still stay in touch and hunt together but don’t get to hang out very often. They planned this little reunion and it turned out to be LOTS of fun!! I had enjoyed hanging out with their wives and the kids had a BLAST!

{We really should do this more often}

I didn’t take ANY Pictures at all! I really need to work on taking more pictures. I didn’t even take the camera in the boat because I was afraid I would destroy it. There is no group picture :( Now, we will have an excuse to get together again really soon! I promise next time to take LOTS of pictures.

I took these picture before we headed to the lake... glad I did because it was the only picture I got of Adrianna.

This is the only pose I can get out of Andrew these days... He is a little comedian and will do anything to get a laugh.

 Andrew & Nick were instant Best Friends! They spent hours swinging, sliding, climbing, and digging in the dirt!

 {here's that face again}

Andrew had a great time with Nick's big bro Hunter too! These boys are triple trouble
